• Privacy – Out of respect for Robert Downey Jr.'s privacy, this forum focuses only on his work as an artist and public persona. Posts about his PRIVATE ISSUES will be DELETED. • Avatars – Avatars should be max 200px wide for quick download. It must be uploaded with a host that allows hot-linking (like Photobucket or Imageshack) in order for you to obtain a web address (URL) to your image.
  
  
• HQ photos – Recently, a message board was closed because they allowed/supported display of original HQ photos (jumbo size). Photo agencies might take drastic action. Posts refering to original HQ photos will be deleted in order to secure the message board. Note that this do not apply to movie PR photos/stills.
  
  
• Spoilers – When discussing Robert's films, remember that not all fans have seen them all yet. If you feel a need to post a spoiler, please write "SPOILER" in the topic title.
  
  
• Email – Be careful with displaying your email address on public message boards. It's not a requirement to include an email address to post here. If you want site visitors to be able to contact you privately it's a good idea to set up an extra email address for that purpose.
  
  
• Topic titles – Try not to write too long topic titles and make sure they correctly describes what your posts are about.
  
  
• Identity – Only use one name or screen name consistently when posting, so that other posters can feel comfortable knowing who they are communicating with.
  
  
• Posting links – If you have posted a link, that same link will automatically be included in your following posts (just as your name). Please remember to remove it in your next post or we will think it's a new link and click it over and over again.
  
  If you want to show us a picture, video, audio etc. from another website, please don't direct link (hot-link) it without first getting permission from the website who hosts it. Most sites don't allow hot-linking to their files since by doing so you are stealing their bandwidth. It's much better to simply give us the link to the whole webpage where the pic/video/audio is displayed. Make sure that website is open to all and don't require membership for viewing.
  
  
• Abuse – Abusive or insensitive/rude posts about Robert Downey Jr. or about/to site visitors will be deleted. If the abuse is grave, the poster will be banned from the message board.
  
  
• Off topic – Off topic discussions are allowed in moderation. Please put O/T in the topic title. O/T posts will be removed after a few days to save space.
  
  
• Advertising – Private or commercial advertising or plugging of websites is not allowed. We can make exceptions for friends and/or regular message board posters if they ask permission.
