Robert, you are an inspiration to me, though we will probably never know each other personally there is something about you and your life that moves me deeply, there is something beautiful about how you survived these long s***ty years and rose from the ashes, just looking at your life helps me to hope and keep on going when times are tough. I believe that God put you on your feet again for a reason and I pray that he might turn you into a source of solace and hope for so many people. I love your sharp mind, your weird metaphors, your kindness, your humanity, your honesty, your talent to move people deeply with your performances. You are special. x |

I've never respected an actor more than I respect Robert Downey Jr. He is versatile, he can hit rock bottom and rise to the top, and his smile melts my heart. Here's to you Robert. Cheers! |

Been around the block a time or two in my life and career. Its not often I see folks make a come back from the brink of destruction. I've seen this in my own family, my friends and job. Although I do not know you, I can honestly say that I am proud of you for being where you are now, having been where you were in your life. My hope is that others can see that it can be done! Hang in there and keep it going! |

Hello. I'd just like to say when I first heard the news that Mr. Downey was going to play this character, I was a little skeptical. But wow did he pull it off! This was the best movie of the year as far as I'm concerned. I hope he comes back and plays Iron Man again. Thanks! |

Been a fan since the beginning, have become a BIG fan the past few years. Your range is absolutely tremendous. I thought, "Eh, superhero?" But had to go see Ironman because it's you! I thought, "what the hell, RDJ is in it, it can't be bad". Holy schnyckies, you were a great superhero! And I just saw Tropic Thunder yesterday. Some seniors walked out! Understandable. But I and the rest of the theater were laughing our hinies off! I'm just gonna throw this out there - OSCAR BABY! I know, I know, not your typically nominated movie, but your role and how you did it were AMAZING. Keep up the great movies - I love em all! |

Mr. Downey, I really hope you read this. I have always been a fan of yours and I hope I will always be able to enjoy your movies. I just wanted you to know that your life makes a difference to me and many others. I'm sure those who are close to you feel the same way, but I just want you to know that I think of you like a modern day Johnny Cash. He was a man with a turbulent past that God rescued from death to LIFE!!! I know that I don't know you sir but I believe that your a good man, a good person and I hope that you'll be making movies and entertaining people for as long as Jimmy Stewart did. so I ask you to remember that when life gets screwy and people hurt you, know that there's someone praying that Robert Downey Jr. walks away smelling like a rose.
